I graduated from the University of Hartford in 1998 with a B.S./B.A. in Management. After graduation I worked for the big insurance companies in Hartford, Connecticut as a Long Term Disability claims examiner. While working for the insurance companies, I went to law school at night. After graduating from Western New England College School of Law I moved to the Western New York area. I am admitted to practice law in New York State as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York. I was the senior attorney for a large high volume Social Security law firm for over seven years. I have handled hundreds of Social Security cases during my career at all levels of the process. I have appealed cases to the United States District Court and taken cases as high as the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
I provide my clients with the experience that comes with working for a large Social Security Law firm with the customer service you get from a sole practitioner. When you are my client you will not get passed off to a paralegal or legal assistant. You hired an attorney to get you the benefits that you deserve and you deserve to have a relationship with your attorney.

Upon graduating from law school in 2004, I began work as an estate attorney. My work included probating wills, estate administration, discovery proceedings, accountings, judicial settlements, and the preparation of Federal and New York estate tax returns, and income tax returns for decedents and estates. I also worked with clients to develop personal estate plans, including the preparation of Wills, powers of attorney, and health care proxies. As a social worker and attorney, I have an understanding of the sensitive issues involved in estate planning, and in handling the affairs of a loved one who has passed away.
In 2008, I began working as a social security disability attorney, advocating for my clients to receive the benefits they needed and deserved. I have a particular interest in helping both children and adults with mental health diagnoses, as I have worked extensively with these individuals in both the social work and legal fields. My experience as a social worker includes counseling emotionally disturbed children in a residential treatment program. The children I worked with had various illnesses, including ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and other conditions. I was also a counselor for adults with severe mental illnesses in a group home. These individuals suffered from many different illnesses, including schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and other mental health conditions. Throughout my career I have had a passion for advocating for those with disabilities, both in and out of the courtroom.
